T-Minus 3 Days to Get Out the Student Vote!

Pictured: St. Kate's MPIRG Chapter, and MPIRG Bear, welcomed students to 'Vote NO Night' - a workshop on the marriage and voter restriction amendments.

Last week, St. Kate's Chapter held a workshop on the amendments. Kathy Bonnifield of Citizens for Election Integrity Minnesota shared the impacts voter ID could have on students. A representative from the Minnesota United for All Families campaign shared how the amendment, if passed, would cement the already never-been-legal marriage of same-sex couples in our constitution forever. The third conversation stop, hosted by MPIRG, shared the history of student participation in Minnesota elections, and how young people can defeat both amendments this NOvember 6 by getting out the student vote!
